Meet the Staff

Greg Puckett
Head Director of Bands
​
Mr. Puckett graduated from Fairhope High School in 2002 and then attended The University of Southern Mississippi where he attained his BM.Ed in music education and later, an M.Ed in Education Administration. He is currently in his 19th year of teaching band and 10th year at Baker High School where he serves as Associate Band Director of the Pride of Baker Marching Band and Director of the Symphonic Band, as well as the guitar instructor.

Mr. Puckett has a wife, Megan, and 2 kids: Aubrey and Colin. When he’s not at work, he enjoys freelancing as a trumpet and guitar player, playing in the church orchestra, scuba diving, hunting, archery, and coaching his daughter’s softball teams.

Cheyenne Higgs
Associate Director of Bands

Ms. Higgs graduated from Hancock High School in Kiln, MS in 2016. She studied Music Education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where she received her Associate of Arts in 2019, and at the University of South Alabama where she received her bachelor's in music education in 2022. She studied her primary instrument, the clarinet, under the instruction of both Mr. Kenny Myrick (MGCCC) and Dr. Kip Franklin (USA). She is currently obtaining her Master of Music Education from the University of South Alabama with plans to graduate in December.

Ms. Higgs started her career as a middle school band director in 2022 in Theodore, AL. She transitioned her career to being a high school band director at Baker High School in 2023.

Aside from her life as a band director, she loves reading, video and board games, kayaking, and gardening. She also enjoys spending time with her friends, family, her life partner, Cameron, and her dachshund, Jango.

Kylie Williamson
Dance Instructor
Mrs. Williamson is a 2006 graduate of Baker High School where she was a member of the Lady Hornets Volleyball Team, Honeybees Softball Team, and the Baker Dance Team. She was a 4-year member of the nationally ranked University of South Alabama Prowlers Dance Team and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management in 2010. She began coaching the Baker Dance Team in 2008 and discovered her love for teaching dance was calling her into the public school system. Mrs. Williamson began teaching dance at Baker in 2015 and graduated with a Master of Arts in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2017.
Her husband, Travis, is the Assistant Baseball Coach at the University of Mobile. They have a son named Leo and daughter Maddie-Kate.

Saharra Espinosa
Head Color Guard Instructor
Ms. Saharra is from Mobile, Alabama, and graduated from Baker High School. She was a proud member of the color guard, and is honored to be an alumna of the program. Ms. Saharra has also had had the opportunity to perform winter guard with Jay Independent out of Jay, Florida.
She started coaching in 2022 at Theodore High School, and joined the Baker staff in 2026. She comes to us with rewarding experiences to share her passion for the sport and develop talent.
Outside of coaching, she enjoys spending her time with her life partner, Eugene, her pets, doing make-up, and working at her full-time job as a manager at Walmart.
