Sidney Dedeaux
Director of Bands

Mr. Dedeaux grew up in Morton, Mississippi.  He attended Morton High School and graduated in 1991.  Mr. Dedeaux enrolled in the University of Southern Mississippi and earned the degree of Bachelor of Music Education in December of 1998. 
 
Mr. Dedeaux began his teaching career in Foley, Alabama, at Foley High School as the Assistant Band Director. In addition, he was also the Director of Music at First Presbyterian Church in Foley, Alabama.  He then taught at Fairhope High School in Fairhope, Alabama. 
 
Sidney is currently in his 19th year as Director of Bands at Baker High School in Mobile, Alabama.  Mr. Dedeaux is currently in his 25th year of teaching.

Greg Puckett

Associate Director of Bands

​

Mr. Puckett graduated from Fairhope High School in 2002 and then attended The University of Southern Mississippi where he attained his BM.Ed in music education and later, an M.Ed in Education Administration.  He is currently in his 17th year of teaching band and 8th year at Baker High School where he serves as Associate Band Director of the Pride of Baker Marching Band and Director of the Symphonic Band, as well as the guitar instructor.

Mr. Puckett has a wife, Megan, and 2 kids: Aubrey and Colin. When he’s not at work, he enjoys freelancing as a trumpet and guitar player, playing in the church orchestra, scuba diving, hunting, archery, and coaching his daughter’s softball teams.

Cheyenne Higgs

Associate Director of Bands

​

Ms. Higgs graduated from Hancock High School in Kiln, MS in 2016. She studied Music Education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where she received her Associate of Arts in 2019, and at the University of South Alabama where she received her bachelor's in music education in 2022. She studied her primary instrument, the clarinet, under the instruction of both Mr. Kenny Myrick (MGCCC) and Dr. Kip Franklin (USA).

​

Ms. Higgs started her career as a middle school band director in 2022 in Theodore, AL. This will be her first year as an assistant band director at Baker High School.

​

Aside from her life as a band director, she loves reading, writing, kayaking, and gardening. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family

Kylie Williamson
Dance Instructor

Mrs. Williamson is a 2006 graduate of Baker High School where she was a member of the Lady Hornets Volleyball Team, Honeybees Softball Team, and the Baker Dance Team. She was a 4-year member of the nationally ranked University of South Alabama Prowlers Dance Team and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management in 2010. She began coaching the Baker Dance Team in 2008 and discovered her love for teaching dance was calling her into the public school system. Mrs. Williamson began teaching dance at Baker in 2015 and graduated with a Master of Arts in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2017. 

Her husband, Travis, is the Assistant Baseball Coach at the University of Mobile. They have a son named Leo and daughter Maddie-Kate.

Leeanne Harry
Colorguard Instructor

Mrs. Harry is a 2009 graduate of Murphy High school where she was a member of the colorguard and winter guard. Mrs. Harry then went on to march drum corps with Teal Sound in both 2009 and 2011. She was a member of The University of South Alabama color guard for 4 years. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2017. She is currently in school to receive her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis. Mrs. Harry is in her 7th year of teaching guard!

Deanna Scopolites
Assistant Color Guard Instructor

Ms. Scopolites is a 2019 graduate of Murphy High School where she was a member of the Hi-Q Team, Colorguard, Winterguard, and Dance Company. She was a 3-year member of The University of South Alabama Colorguard and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Environmental Science in December of 2022. She is currently enrolled at the University of Oklahoma pursuing a Masters of Environmental Science in Hydrology and Water Security. Ms. Scopolites is currently in her 4th year of teaching guard.
